Mastering Tax Planning: Protect Your Wealth and Your Deals!

In 2024, we're seeing a surge in IRS liens and garnishments, making effective tax planning more crucial than ever. The IRS is ramping up collections, and it's essential to navigate these waters with confidence. Here’s what Amy will cover:

  1. Tax Planning, Not Paying: Focus on strategic tax planning to minimize your liabilities.

  2. Insuring Proper Tax Structures: Ensure you have the right entities in place.

  3. Choose the Right Tax Preparers and Bookkeepers: Collaborate with experienced professionals who understand the intricacies of tax regulations.

  4. Common Deductions People Miss: Don’t leave money on the table!

  5. Dealing with Increased Collections: If you find yourself facing collection actions, know your rights.

  6. What to Do If You Get a Notice from the IRS: Don’t panic!

  7. Handling IRS Liens and Garnishments: If an IRS lien or garnishment threatens your business deals, act quickly.

The key to thriving in today’s tax landscape is knowledge and preparedness. Equip yourself with the right resources, and don’t face the IRS alone.

WiscoREIA’s Appleton Meeting Always Meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the Month from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm!

Hosts: Jason Lund & Geoff Possley

Jason is a visionary real estate entrepreneur and dedicated coach with a passion for empowering others to succeed in the real estate space. As a partner at WiscoREIA and the founder of 920 Home Buyers and 920 Property Management, Jason has cemented his reputation as a leading figure in Northeast Wisconsin's real estate community.

Since launching his career in 2010, he has transformed over 1,000+ homes through Landlording, flipping and wholesaling, showcasing his expertise in property investment. With a thriving portfolio of 200+ rental properties, Jason stands out for his strategic approach to buying, fixing, and flipping single-family homes.

Through his Coaching and Mentoring Group, he provides invaluable guidance to both budding and seasoned investors on scaling their real estate ventures and mastering life's challenges.

Geoff is a part time buy and hold investor with investments in the Fox Valley and Sheboygan area. He is a full-time aircraft certification engineer for Gulfstream Aerospace in Appleton where he lives with his wife Laura and four children Carter, Madeline, Rowen and Brielle.

Geoff got started in real estate in 2005, with very little REI knowledge, when he purchased a single-family home with the plan to do a live-in flip over the next few years. After the bubble burst in 2008 his focus shifted from turning a profit to simply breaking even. This led Geoff to step away from real estate for a number of years until he discovered WiscoREIA in 2018 where he finally was able to acquire the knowledge and network that was necessary to be successful in real estate investing.  His goal is to use REI as a means to retire early from engineering.

Geoff currently invests in single-family and small multi-family properties that he operates as traditional rentals as well as short term furnished rentals. In his free time Geoff enjoys camping with his family, playing golf, snowboarding, hunting, and good beer.
