WiscoREIA’s Green Bay Meeting Always Meets on the 1st Tuesday of the Month from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm!
Hosts: Joe Gracyalny & Mike Martell
Joe is a real estate investor in the Green Bay/Fox Valley area. He has partnerships with other investors, as well as his own projects and views investing as a team activity. He specializes in self-storage and multifamily projects.
Joe has a passion for education and helping newer investors. He was a teacher and coach in Dubuque, IA before moving back to his Wisconsin roots. As a teacher, he added a few rentals in the Green Bay area and recognized the opportunity in real estate. He took the leap and hasn’t looked back. WiscoREIA provides the opportunity for him to be able to scratch that educator itch, as well as learn from the many people in the room.
Joe got his first project under contract in 2018 and has been growing ever since. Known primarily in the area as "Duplex Joe," he has ventured on from mostly multifamily projects, into the self-storage space and buys deals across the United States.
If you are new and want to get into rental property, Joe published many of the tools he used in small multifamily for investors for free. Go to duplexuniversity.com where you can find tools, templates, a weekly newsletter, all 100% free to investors. Find Joe on: Instagram @ duplex_joe - Twitter @ realduplexjoe or at WiscoREIA Green Bay on the first Tuesday of every month!
Originally from Two Rivers, Mike and his wife Kathryn (from Brillion) have been married for over 30 years. They have three grown children all living in the upper Midwest. After 25 + years in the kitchen and bath industry working in sales and sales management for a couple of large companies, Mike retired to Door County with Kathryn in June of 2018.
Mike and Kathryn’s interest in real estate began in 1986 with their first duplex, an upper/lower in Wauwatosa, purchased on a land contract. Over the years they moved all over the Midwest chasing the corporate dream but always looking, buying, and updating properties, focused on kitchen and bath remodels. They purchased flips, buy and holds, tried their hand at land development, historic renovations and buying bank owned properties. Today they are focused on vacation rentals and private money lending.
