    Shaun became interested in real estate two years ago. He has a home improvement company and investing company, where he focuses on flipping and BRRRRing real estate with his brother. Shaun and his wife, Sam, have a podcast called “Tutors of Life” where they research life, so you don’t have to.

    Shaun loves business, real estate, and investing, which are the main topics he discusses on his podcast. His first company he built, started in 2017 and sold in November of 2021 to focus on real estate. Shaun enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, Mimi and taking cruises in one of his classic cars.

    Ryan began in real estate and business in 2017. He owns Stable Living LLP which has 14 licensed Adult Family Homes and does in-home care for over 80 clients. This business employs over 100 staff and is where a lot of my time is spent. 

    Ryan has grown a portfolio of rentals that has 550 doors currently. The majority of the acquisitions have been done using creative financing with little money down. My focus is on structuring deals with creative finance and finding deals off market. My wife Eva Gray is a CPA who focuses on tax planning, mastering business plans, and self-managing the properties. He also started a flipping and wholesaling business called 715 Home Buyers with Brandon Anderson which does over 20 transactions a year. 

    Ryan also has two children Josephine and Drew. They love to go camping together in the summer and vacationing in the winter. In his free time, he also likes to play baseball, deer hunt, and ride motorcycles.

    Alyssa is an investor and agent operating in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Indiana. Founder of Inspired Investments, Inspired Realty, and Inspired Property Management LLC her businesses support her momentum in growing her real estate portfolio. Alyssa's favorite thing about real estate is that there are so many strategies and types of investments to get into. Since 2020, she has built a diverse portfolio of 70 units (give or take revolving flip projects) across various states—including single-family homes, multifamily, small apartments, Airbnb rentals and on the nonresidential front—self-storage and land.

    She is dedicated to the belief that Real Estate can be used as a powerful tool to create positive change, and her greatest satisfaction is using what she has built to help do the most amount of good. Alyssa is always looking to grow and learn more and enjoys bringing like-minded individuals together.

    On a personal note, Alyssa is a special needs mother and her children play a major role in what motivates and drives her, along with her faith and dedication to living out her calling and purpose. When she is not engaging in real estate-related activities you can find her chasing around her kids, volunteering, operating and collaborating with nonprofits, and advocating for the Down Syndrome community.


    Always an entrepreneur, Rebekah spent the first decade of her career starting and building an organic dairy farm from the ground up.  The business went from $0 to just shy of $1M in gross revenue over that decade.


    7 years ago, Rebekah pivoted her efforts into Real Estate.  Passionate about building a life and business that fit around her children instead of her business running her- she is grateful to only have created that balance for herself, but to also get to help others do the same.  Rebekah has specialized in working with investors and commercial transactions and is using that experience helping others to begin building her portfolio.

    On a personal note, Rebekah is a busy mom to four beautiful children. Leading by example and leaving a legacy for her children is the “why” that inspires her to be better every day. Since doing his first house hack in 1994, he has been involved with 100's of house flips, 100’s of rentals, raised over 15 million dollars to fund those deals and had 1000's of students come through his local training and coaching programs. Chris has a master's degree in the school of hard knocks.


    Between 2006-2010 Chris taught the Real Estate Investing course at Madison Area Technical College, which saw 100's of students come through his classes. In July 2012, Chris founded The Madison REIA and in July 2021 merged with Wisco REIA which now has 10 REIA locations across Wisconsin, bringing the combined membership to well over 500!


    Chris's company Just Simple Storage, LLC owns ten facilities and manages 1000+ self-storage units in WI, IL and MI. Chris also started a commercial storage development company in 2024.


    On a personal note, Chris and his wife, Suzanna, have three children, Tyler, Tanner and Trelan. He also has two dogs, Kona and Hemi. Chris loves classic muscle cars (Corvettes), all outdoor sports, especially golf, and fishing.     I am Ryan Cotic. I grew up in the Milwaukee area in Southeast Wisconsin and have always had an entrepreneurial mindset including when I was a young child and can remember selling New Kids on the Block pins to my classmates in elementary school. My journey took me to the University of Wisconsin Madison where I studied History and Economics. This gave me an excellent background to be prepared to work with all types of people in this world. I achieved a greater understanding of how large our world is and the dedication to hard work and knowledge my peers had as well. I bought my first several duplexes while in college and was forced to quickly learn how to manage the properties effectively.  In the summers I started doing landscape work for several local companies where I gained a passion for making peoples yards and properties look beautiful. With this knowledge and passion, I started Great Lakes landscape in the spring of 2009 with one truck and a lawn mower working 14 hours days 6 days per week. Presently we have approximately 40 employees and contractors working with us and more than 3600 customers in Southeastern Wisconsin. Great Lakes Landscape is one of the largest snow and ice management companies in Southeastern Wisconsin where we service both residential and Commercial properties. In addition to owning the landscape company I have also grown a substantial real estate business that currently includes approximately 20 properties which consist of single family, industrial and small multi-family buildings. I am looking to continue to grow this portfolio organically over time while looking to scale into larger buildings if the opportunity presents itself. I have the same Passion for Real Estate as I have for landscape and there are many synergies between the two companies. In my free time I enjoy speaking events to teach others, boating, golfing and networking to learn from others in several real estate and landscape organizations. I currently live with my beautiful wife Carolina and our 2-year-old son Ryan Jr in Menomonee Falls. We enjoy spending time outside and relaxing at home on our back deck while grilling.

    At the age of 25 Matt and Ashley decided to skip the “normal” path of homeownership and jump straight into house hacking as a way to financial freedom. Their journey started when they bought their first multifamily property in the Milwaukee area and moved into one of the units and had tenants help pay the mortgage. That first leap showed them the power of living strategically and they have been hooked ever since. Now, they are on their second house hack and first flip in the Green Bay area after Ashley decided to start working for Wisconsin Discount Properties. They are cashing flow on their Milwaukee property and have built equity. Their goal is to continue growing a portfolio that not only supports their lifestyle, but also gives them more time together, more freedom to travel, and more opportunities to invest in their community.


    Sean Gibbons

    Sean jumped headfirst into full time real estate investing toward the end of 2024. His W2 days consisted of working as a product safety inspector and corporate security analyst. Since going full time he's completed 6 flip projects and has navigated some pretty treacherous waters as he gets his business off the ground. He's also a partner owner of Genesis Impact Sports in Appleton. He's a fulltime Jesus person and serves on the guardian team at his church. He lives in Appleton with his wife, Lindsey, great dane, Thor and two cats, Ace and Bandit.


    Connor Derenne

    My name is Connor Derenne, I have been working at Wisconsin Discount Properties for a year and a half, working in the dispositions department. We specialize in sourcing off-market investment properties for real estate investors across Wisconsin. I purchased my first duplex in April 2025 and am currently house hacking as I work toward building a rental portfolio and eventually taking on some flip projects as well.


    Jared Boerst

    I grew up helping my dad build custom homes in NE Wisconsin and on Shawano Lake. Learning these skills has come in handy as I have been able to do all of the work necessary on my flips and rentals. I started my real estate portfolio in 2022 and have completed 4 full flips, and cure 3 doors rented. My current project is doing a full remodel on my primary house. I work full time job as an engineer, and am married to the best woman in the world! My wife and I plan to continue to grow our real estate portfolio to include more doors and bigger properties in the near future and appreciate the connections made in the REIA community!

    I kicked off my real estate career as an investor in 2012 with a spontaneous decision to rent out my Madison condo.  I became a property manager within 24 hours of posting... with a lease from the internet and sheer luck.  

    I found REIAs later in my career and am thrilled to be one of the WiscoREIA hosts in my hometown, Green Bay.  I was also on the board of the Fox Valley Apartment Association in 2023/2024.  

    As an investor, I focus on flipping/renting single families in the Fox Valley. I am also an investor-friendly real estate agent and own Fox Valley Staging and Design - a property design business that specializes in remodels, listing preparation, short term furnishing, and interior design.  

    I'm a proud Green Bay native now living in Appleton with my two adventurous boys, Damian and Bryce.

    Ken's journey began in the field of social work and psychotherapy, where he dedicated a decade to helping others navigate their personal challenges. Seeking new horizons, he transitioned into the tech industry, joining Hewlett-Packard. Over the next 24 years, he evolved from a Computer Engineer to a Global Project Manager, culminating in his leadership of the Global Sales Lead program, which under his stewardship generated nearly $1 billion in sales each year.

     

    In 2016, Ken pivoted to real estate investing, initially employing the BRRRR (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat) method. Upon retiring from corporate life, he focused on creative deal structuring, mastering techniques like Subject-To (Sub2), Lease/Options, and Land Trusts. His portfolio includes over 50 Real Estate  transactions in the last 8 years, ranging from mobile homes, single family and  multifamily properties, showcasing his versatility and expertise in the real estate market.

     

    Ken credits much of his real estate knowledge and sharpened skills to his active participation in the many WiscoREIA Madison education programs. Through joining their Coaching Program, completing the Blueprint course, and engaging in numerous educational opportunities including hands-on property tours and weekend training events from a variety of speakers sponsored by the REIA, Ken has continuously expanded his expertise in real estate.

     

    Ken is renowned for his proficiency in lead generation and deal negotiation, leveraging a multitude of creative strategies to craft win-win scenarios in real estate. He now steps into his role as a coach for aspiring real estate investors, eager to share his knowledge and experience. He is always on the lookout for personal growth opportunities, being an active member of groups like Lifeonaire and the Generations of Wealth Mastermind group, which further fuel his passion for continuous learning and development.

    Spenser got into real estate at 29 years old while living in subsidized housing and on food stamps. Married with two kids and one on the way, Spenser started with incredibly humble beginnings with a negative net worth.     Tyler and his wife have been doing furnished rentals since 2021 and launched Doorway Travel in January of 2023. They currently manage a portfolio of 50 rentals, a mix of midterm and short term, across the state of WI. We own 14 furnished units themselves, and six long term units that are managed by a company who specializes in LTRs. They offer full service property management; everything from design and furnishing, to guest messaging and property maintenance. They are both from the valley, currently live in Appleton with our two beautiful children, and have one more on the way!

    With over 12 years of experience in property management, I bring a proven track record of maximizing property value, enhancing tenant satisfaction, and streamlining operations across residential. I have successfully managed diverse property types, including multi-family communities, single-family homes, while maintaining high occupancy rates and strong financial performance.

    Geoff is a part time buy and hold investor with investments in the Fox Valley and Sheboygan area. He is a full-time aircraft certification engineer for Gulfstream Aerospace in Appleton where he lives with his wife Laura and four children Carter, Madeline, Rowen and Brielle.


    Geoff got started in real estate in 2005, with very little REI knowledge, when he purchased a single-family home with the plan to do a live-in flip over the next few years. After the bubble burst in 2008 his focus shifted from turning a profit to simply breaking even. This led Geoff to step away from real estate for a number of years until he discovered WiscoREIA in 2018 where he finally was able to acquire the knowledge and network that was necessary to be successful in real estate investing.  His goal is to use REI as a means to retire early from engineering.


    Geoff currently invests in single-family and small multi-family properties that he operates as traditional rentals as well as short term furnished rentals. In his free time Geoff enjoys camping with his family, playing golf, snowboarding, hunting, and good beer.

    Alyssa is an investor and agent operating in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Indiana. Founder of Inspired Investments, Inspired Realty, and Inspired Property Management LLC her businesses support her momentum in growing her real estate portfolio. Alyssa's favorite thing about real estate is that there are so many strategies and types of investments to get into. Since 2020, she has built a diverse portfolio of 70 units (give or take revolving flip projects) across various states—including single-family homes, multifamily, small apartments, Airbnb rentals and on the nonresidential front—self-storage and land.

    On a personal note, Alyssa is a special needs mother and her children play a major role in what motivates and drives her, along with her faith and dedication to living out her calling and purpose. When she is not engaging in real estate-related activities you can find her chasing around her kids, volunteering, operating and collaborating with nonprofits, and advocating for the Down Syndrome community.



    Always an entrepreneur, Rebekah spent the first decade of her career starting and building an organic dairy farm from the ground up.  The business went from $0 to just shy of $1M in gross revenue over that decade.


    7 years ago, Rebekah pivoted her efforts into Real Estate.  Passionate about building a life and business that fit around her children instead of her business running her- she is grateful to only have created that balance for herself, but to also get to help others do the same.  Rebekah has specialized in working with investors and commercial transactions and is using that experience helping others to begin building her portfolio.

    Chris is the founder and visionary of the Madison Real Estate Investors Association (REIA), Master Investor Academy and JSS Mastery Partnership Program. Chris has decades of real estate investing experience and has seen (and smelled) more distressed properties than he cares to admit.

    Chris has been a Madisonian for over 49 years and investing in the Madison real estate market for 30 years. Since doing his first house hack in 1994, he has been involved with 100's of house flips, 100’s of rentals, raised over 15 million dollars to fund those deals and had 1000's of students come through his local training and coaching programs. Chris has a master's degree in the school of hard knocks.

    Between 2006-2010 Chris taught the Real Estate Investing course at Madison Area Technical College, which saw 100's of students come through his classes. In July 2012, Chris founded The Madison REIA and in July 2021 merged with Wisco REIA which now has 10 REIA locations across Wisconsin, bringing the combined membership to well over 500!

    Chris's company Just Simple Storage, LLC owns ten facilities and manages 1000+ self-storage units in WI, IL and MI. Chris also started a commercial storage development company in 2024.

    On a personal note, Chris and his wife, Suzanna, have three children, Tyler, Tanner and Trelan. He also has two dogs, Kona and Hemi. Chris has decades of real estate investing experience and has seen (and smelled) more distressed properties than he cares to admit.  He now applies that knowledge in the mentoring and education of his Coaching students that are actively engaged in rehabbing, wholesaling, and holding of properties all over South Central Wisconsin.


    Chris has been a Madisonian for over 45 years and investing in the Madison real estate market for over 26 years. Since doing his first house hack in 1994, he has been involved with 100’s of house flips, 100’s of rentals, raised over 10 million dollars to fund those deals and had 1000’s of students come through his local training and coaching programs. Chris has a PhD & Master’s Degree in the school of hard knocks. 


    Between 2006-2010 Chris taught the Real Estate Investing course at Madison Area Technical College, which saw 100’s of students come through his classes. 

    Between speaking engagements and mentoring other investors, Chris oversees the daily operations of his investing business, Madison Property Group, that rehabs, wholesales and wholetails properties, and holds properties for his investment portfolio.


    In July 2012, Chris founded The Madison REIA and in July 2021 merged his REIA with WiscoREIA which has 7 REIA’s across Wisconsin, bringing the combined membership to over 650 with 8 locations! 



    Ken's journey began in the field of social work and psychotherapy, where he dedicated a decade to helping others navigate their personal challenges. Seeking new horizons, he transitioned into the tech industry, joining Hewlett-Packard. Over the next 24 years, he evolved from a Computer Engineer to a Global Project Manager, culminating in his leadership of the Global Sales Lead program, which under his stewardship generated nearly $1 billion in sales each year.

     

    In 2016, Ken pivoted to real estate investing, initially employing the BRRRR (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat) method. Upon retiring from corporate life, he focused on creative deal structuring, mastering techniques like Subject-To (Sub2), Lease/Options, and Land Trusts. His portfolio includes over 50 Real Estate  transactions in the last 8 years, ranging from mobile homes, single family and  multifamily properties, showcasing his versatility and expertise in the real estate market.

     

    Ken credits much of his real estate knowledge and sharpened skills to his active participation in the many WiscoREIA Madison education programs. Through joining their Coaching Program, completing the Blueprint course, and engaging in numerous educational opportunities including hands-on property tours and weekend training events from a variety of speakers sponsored by the REIA, Ken has continuously expanded his expertise in real estate.

     

    Ken is renowned for his proficiency in lead generation and deal negotiation, leveraging a multitude of creative strategies to craft win-win scenarios in real estate. He now steps into his role as a coach for aspiring real estate investors, eager to share his knowledge and experience. He is always on the lookout for personal growth opportunities, being an active member of groups like Lifeonaire and the Generations of Wealth Mastermind group, which further fuel his passion for continuous learning and development.

Chris has a master's degree in the school of hard knocks.


    Between 2006-2010 Chris taught the Real Estate Investing course at Madison Area Technical College, which saw 100's of students come through his classes. In July 2012, Chris founded The Madison REIA and in July 2021 merged with Wisco REIA which now has 10 REIA locations across Wisconsin, bringing the combined membership to well over 500!


    Chris's company Just Simple Storage, LLC owns ten facilities and manages 1000+ self-storage units in WI, IL and MI. Chris also started a commercial storage development company in 2024.


    On a personal note, Chris and his wife, Suzanna, have three children, Tyler, Tanner and Trelan. He also has two dogs, Kona and Hemi. Chris loves classic muscle cars (Corvettes), all outdoor sports, especially golf, and fishing. As a husband, father, businessman, and real estate investor, Chris holds true to his core values and lives his Life and Business Vision plan.

    Ray began his interest in real estate investing in 1999. His parents let him continue to live at home for free after he finished school, as long as he was saving his money. This allowed him to buy his first duplex, which he renovated, put tenants in, refinanced and bought another duplex. Today, that is called the “BRRRR” method. He continued to “House Hack” and “BRRRR” numerous times which led to experience in flipping houses, private lending, as well as, creative finance deals. 


    He always loves talking about real estate sharing what he has learned to do and what not to do. He also enjoys making business connections and learning from others’ trials and triumphs.


    Outside of real estate, he loves spending time with his family. He is an aspiring wood worker, welder, and tinkerer. He likes to play golf, ride motorcycles, and go for cruises in the convertible with his kid.

    Tim Nelson is originally from Augusta, WI and attended UW Stout for college. While at Stout, Tim got the idea from his landlord to think about buying a rental home someday. After reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad when he was 22, he bought his first college rental on land contract when he was 23 years old. After serving in the active military for 4 years, Tim moved back to the Chippewa Valley and became a Realtor for RE/MAX Affiliates and a self managing landlord for his Menomonie rentals.

    After doing Real Estate sales for 5 years, Tim realized that owning a business and having a succession plan for his dad to retire from being a full time landlord was what he truly wanted. So, in 2023 Tim purchased American Edge Real Estate Services Inc, a full service real estate brokerage in Menomonie, WI. When Tim purchase American Edge they were at 330 rental units and today are over 480 units and still growing. They specialize in residential and multifamily 3rd party property management and property sales.

    Tim is married to Rachel and they have 3 daughters, Sage, Juniper, and Aspen. Tim and Rachel enjoy hunting, camping, and hiking in their free time.

    Shaun became interested in real estate two years ago. He has a home improvement company and investing company, where he focuses on flipping and BRRRRing real estate with his brother. Shaun and his wife, Sam, have a podcast called “Tutors of Life” where they research life, so you don’t have to.


    Shaun loves business, real estate, and investing, which are the main topics he discusses on his podcast. His first company he built, started in 2017 and sold in November of 2021 to focus on real estate. Shaun enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, Mimi and taking cruises in one of his classic cars.



    Ryan began in real estate and business in 2017. He owns Stable Living LLP which has 14 licensed Adult Family Homes and does in-home care for over 80 clients. This business employs over 100 staff and is where a lot of my time is spent. 


    Ryan has grown a portfolio of rentals that has 550 doors currently. The majority of the acquisitions have been done using creative financing with little money down. My focus is on structuring deals with creative finance and finding deals off market. My wife Eva


    Gray is a CPA who focuses on tax planning, mastering business plans, and self-managing the properties. He also started a flipping and wholesaling business called 715 Home Buyers with Brandon Anderson which does over 20 transactions a year. 

    Ryan also has two children Josephine and Drew. They love to go camping together in the summer and vacationing in the winter. In his free time, he also likes to play baseball, deer hunt, and ride motorcycles.

    Amy Farrow is an Attorney and real estate investor with over twenty-five years of experience.  She has represented business owners, banks, and real estate professionals in litigation and transactional matters.  Amy has also closed hundreds of real estate transactions, residential and commercial.   She has bought and flipped more properties than she can remember, the very first in 1999.


    Amy is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, both undergraduate and law school.  She began her practice of law at a small firm servicing Columbia, Sauk and Dane County.  After a few years of practice, Amy joined the Department of Justice.   She served as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma City, OK.  After five years, Amy returned to Wisconsin and resumed the practice of law serving southeastern Wisconsin.


    In her spare time, Amy loves to relax with her four children and two silly dogs.  She and her husband travel often and love to visit National Parks.  Amy also runs in obstacle and adventure races several times a year, such as the Tough Mudder and the Spartan races.   She is a commercial pilot and is currently looking to buy a plane for new adventures.   Amy also sits on the board of a nonprofit that focuses on raising money for breast cancer survivors and their families.

Since 2020, she has built a diverse portfolio of 70 units (give or take revolving flip projects) across various states—including single-family homes, multifamily, small apartments, Airbnb rentals and on the nonresidential front—self-storage and land.

    She is dedicated to the belief that Real Estate can be used as a powerful tool to create positive change, and her greatest satisfaction is using what she has built to help do the most amount of good. Alyssa is always looking to grow and learn more and enjoys bringing like-minded individuals together.

    On a personal note, Alyssa is a special needs mother and her children play a major role in what motivates and drives her, along with her faith and dedication to living out her calling and purpose. When she is not engaging in real estate-related activities you can find her chasing around her kids, volunteering, operating and collaborating with nonprofits, and advocating for the Down Syndrome community.


    Always an entrepreneur, Rebekah spent the first decade of her career starting and building an organic dairy farm from the ground up.  The business went from $0 to just shy of $1M in gross revenue over that decade.


    7 years ago, Rebekah pivoted her efforts into Real Estate.  Passionate about building a life and business that fit around her children instead of her business running her- she is grateful to only have created that balance for herself, but to also get to help others do the same.  Rebekah has specialized in working with investors and commercial transactions and is using that experience helping others to begin building her portfolio.

    Ray began his interest in real estate investing in 1999. His parents let him continue to live at home for free after he finished school, as long as he was saving his money. This allowed him to buy his first duplex, which he renovated, put tenants in, refinanced and bought another duplex. Today, that is called the “BRRRR” method. He continued to “House Hack” and “BRRRR” numerous times which led to experience in flipping houses, private lending, as well as, creative finance deals. 

    He always loves talking about real estate sharing what he has learned to do and what not to do. He also enjoys making business connections and learning from others’ trials and triumphs.

    Outside of real estate, he loves spending time with his family. He is an aspiring wood worker, welder, and tinkerer. He likes to play golf, ride motorcycles, and go for cruises in the convertible with his kid. 

    Ken's journey began in the field of social work and psychotherapy, where he dedicated a decade to helping others navigate their personal challenges. Seeking new horizons, he transitioned into the tech industry, joining Hewlett-Packard. Over the next 24 years, he evolved from a Computer Engineer to a Global Project Manager, culminating in his leadership of the Global Sales Lead program, which under his stewardship generated nearly $1 billion in sales each year.

    In 2016, Ken pivoted to real estate investing, initially employing the BRRRR (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat) method. Upon retiring from corporate life, he focused on creative deal structuring, mastering techniques like Subject-To (Sub2), Lease/Options, and Land Trusts. His portfolio includes over 50 Real Estate  transactions in the last 8 years, ranging from mobile homes, single family and  multifamily properties, showcasing his versatility and expertise in the real estate market.

    Ken credits much of his real estate knowledge and sharpened skills to his active participation in the many WiscoREIA Madison education programs. Through joining their Coaching Program, completing the Blueprint course, and engaging in numerous educational opportunities including hands-on property tours and weekend training events from a variety of speakers sponsored by the REIA, Ken has continuously expanded his expertise in real estate.

    Ken is renowned for his proficiency in lead generation and deal negotiation, leveraging a multitude of creative strategies to craft win-win scenarios in real estate. He now steps into his role as a coach for aspiring real estate investors, eager to share his knowledge and experience. He is always on the lookout for personal growth opportunities, being an active member of groups like Lifeonaire and the Generations of Wealth Mastermind group, which further fuel his passion for continuous learning and development. 

    With a life that beautifully blends family, community, technology, and real estate, Ken Collins is not just a coach but a mentor who understands the art of building wealth through real estate while maintaining a life of balance and fulfillment.
